Gavin Shams 

Gavin has started his journey in technical theater in the 6th grade as a stagehand. from that point on continuing in various roles all throughout middle and high school. However, his favorite has to be lighting. Gavin has worked many productions in a wide variety of roles including: Lighting Designer, Assistant/ Associate LD, Gaffer, Master Electrician, and Programmer. Gavin is a graduate of St. Margaret's Episcopal School Class of 2026 located in San Juan Capistrano CA, and will be attending the University of Southern California School of Dramatic Arts in fall 2026 pursuing a B.F.A. in Theatrical Design, where he plans to continue his work in the entertainment industry in themed entertainment. Additionally, Gavin out of 220 nominees was named the 2026 Orange County Artist of the Year for theatre, and won a Cappie Award for his lighting design work on the 2025 St. Margaret's upper school fall production of Lord of the Flies.
